Hit 1100 rides

yesterday (Thanksgiving Day) at Magic Mountain. Much to my surprise, a very busy day at the Mountain

. Don't people know they should be at home with their families for the holiday???

I've not made any entries for '09, so let me update you as current. Great year riding this season. Currently at 1033 coaster rides for the year. I've got a week of California vacation coming the week of Thanksgiving. That means more rides

. My geocache total is at 1362. That's a brief update on the important stats of my life...

I ended the year finding caches in Tampa to break the 1100 find level. Running out of caches here at home.

Well the year is over and I had a poor riding season thanks to very few west coast trips. I ended the year with 840 rides after spending 3 days after Christmas at Busch Gardens Tampa.

Well I finally broke 1000 geocache finds today!

It took awhile, but persistence paid off! Especially now that it costs so much to cache with gas prices.

Got my 900 geocache find today!!! Heading for 1000...

Well it's New Years day and I'm posting my ride total for 2007... It was an amazing season for me

which I don't expect to approach in 2008, but I said that last year. In 2006 I had 862 rides. In 2007 I bettered that by
459 more rides

for a
new record of: 1321. They (Busch Gardens) removed the floors from all the Sheikra dive trains which made it more interesting .
This years fireworks at Busch were great. They were synchronized to some techno Christmas music which I loved
. All things considered, a great finish to 2007. I can't wait to see what's in store for this year....
2007 Coaster Record: 1321

Well today was a Merry Christmas. I was home Geocaching and broke the 800 find level. I'm sitting at 802 right now

. Looking forward to 1000!

Well today at Cedar Point I broke the milennia on Millennium Force my favorite coaster

! I'm sitting at 1003 rides with 3 days left on my Ohio vacation. I'm sure to add to this total. Also I'll be working in New Jersey so I'll get more rides in at Great Adventure next month!

July 19
Well yesterday I did it at Hershey Park

. I broke last years all time coaster record with 40 rides in one day there. My new total is
881
, with 3 more days left on my vacation here in PA / NJ and a trip to Ohio due in August. I guess I should set my sights on 1000 for this season

!!

Today is a big day for me

. My first website got published with everything needed for GPS navigation

. I've got: handhelds, auto, exercise GPS's and all their accessories. The site is: www.ezgpsonline.com. Please visit it for all your needs. Also give me your feedback.

I've been "working" in LA

for the past 2 months. That gave me plenty opportunity to enjoy myself riding at Knotts Berry Farm and Magic Mountain. My 2007 ride total is 732

! At this rate it'll be easy to beat 2006's total of 862. My PA / NJ vacation is coming up in less than 2 weeks. I can't wait to ride again. I must admit, I need to go to some new parks other than the 2 LA parks I've been at every weekend.

Yesterday was Coastermania day at Cedar Point. It was the best ever

! I had the most rides in one day ever at Cedar Point -- 30! The ERT's were great and not too crowded. One negative thing, I don't like their newest coaster #17 Maverick. I ride with my hands in the air (always) the I really got beat up

on the 2 rides I had yesterday morning at 6AM. It does serve a purpose for me. It shortens the line for Millennium Force because people are waiting in line to ride Maverick. It's definitely not in my top 10 steel coaster list or more than a once a visit ride.
My 2007 coaster count is up to -- 625 already...

This site has been offline for sometime

, but time to catch up. This has been a great and unbelievable year for me and it's just beginning

! I've been working frequently in the Los Angeles area so I've been getting in lots of rides

. My 2007 ride total is already at 585 with 14 trips to Magic Mountain! My last trip allowed me to ride 57 coasters in 1visit

. I can't wait until next week and I get to ride Maverick at Cedar Point at Coastermania...
Here's to another record breaking season

Well I was able to break my coaster record after spending 4 days at Busch Gardens in Tampa. I needed to spend 10 - 11 hours

everyday to get my rides in. I broke the record on 12/29 by one, and extended the count the following day. I ended up with 862 rides

.
I really enjoyed

their new ride (2005) call Sheikra a dive coaster. It drops 195 feet straight down

(90 degrees). You hit speeds of 70 mph

! Another record breaking season for me. Let's see what 2007 holds in store

Out here for the past few days with more to come on vacation. Was home shopping yesterday Saturday and the prices are great

. I'd be making out moving out here. Doing lots of Geocaching and hiking at South Mountain. Saturday evening they started their Festival of the Lights. They decorate all the cactus with lights going down Chandler Blvd (when I'm looking to live) for about a mile

. It's absolutely beatiful. You saw some of the pictures on my home page. They even places illuminated displays in the mountains. That's just amazing

! This just adds to my love of this part of the country. It maybe time for a change for me.
This January I'll celebrate my 19th year in Florida. We had a calm hurricane season this summer, but the insurance rates are still skyrocketing

! I don't know if I can afford to live there anymore

. Anyway, I'm just going to enjoy myself while I'm here and we'll see what happens.

Well today was 6 Flags Over Georgia's Season Passholder Appreciation Day

. This was probably the coldest day I've ever ridden any coasters

. In fact I went to Wal-Mart to get a flanel shirt and gloves. It was 43 degrees when I started riding at 10AM. It was sooo cold the Georgia Cyclone ( wooden coaster) wasn't able to run. I guess the cutoff is 45 or 50 degrees. As usual it was a great day for riding. I think the cold kept many people away. NOT ME!!!
I got 28 rides today, bringing my 2006 total to 813

! Last year's recording breaking number was 850. I'm 38 rides from breaking that record. I don't have any additional scheduled ride days (unless Siemens sends me back to LA to work) for this year. Realistically, I never thought I'd even get this close.
I guess time will tell, but I must admit I'm quite chilly here in the hotel. I hope I don't get sick from this cold weather....

Bye,

Hello Everyone,
Finally got home yesterday after almost 2 weeks gone. Good news is power and water are back! I just posted some pictures of the devastation here within 1 mile of my home. Thank God he protected me and our building. See for yourself..

October 27
This has been the scariest experience of my life

!! I did survive, but had to leave town for a hot meal, hot shower and electricity. None of the above (water or electricity) at home in the past 4 days. I'll be posting the pictures soon as the power gets on at home.
The power of nature is awesome. I watched big boats get tossed and cars too. I was praying and bailing water from my living room window (8 buckets worth) Monday, but I didn't have any damage. This is the only part of living in South Florida that scares me. Picture soon to follow once the power is on.
